The Accelerated Reading Olympics will begin on February 1st and end on February 23rd. The three students in each classroom in grades 1-5 that have the most Accelerated Reading Points with an 85% average will win a medal. Good luck and let the games begin!!

Kindergarten Orientation and Open House will be on Thursday, August 3rd beginning at 6:30 P.M. Parents will need to bring their incoming Kindergarten student because there will be a school tour after orientation is finished.
There will not be any school on October 19th and 20th due to Fall Break. Enjoy your days off from school.
Preschool Open House will be on August 14th at 4:30 P.M - 5:30 P.M in the library. Adults only due to the amount of paperwork and limited seating.
Our Christmas Sing-A-Long, Basket Auction and Pictures With Santa will be on Thursday, November 30th beginning at 5:00 P.M. Pictures with Santa will be taken from 5:00 P.M. - 6:30 P.M. with refreshments being sold during this time. The Polar Express Themed Sing-A-Long will start at 6:30 P.M. with the auction. You are invited to attend.
Parents, Grandparents and Guardians are invited to eat breakfast with their child during the week of October 2nd. The schedule is below:
Tuesday, October 3--Preschool and Kindergarten.
Wednesday, October 4--1st and 2nd Grade.
Thursday, October 5--3rd, 4th and 5th Grade.
Breakfast will begin at 7:30 A.M. each morning. Please do not bring in outside food to this event.
Students at Johnson Elementary will be collecting pennies for patients that have Lymphoma and Leukemia on February 13th - February 22nd. If our school collects $500, the class that collects the most pennies will win a pizza party.
You are invited to bring your child to Summer Reading on June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27, July 11, and July 18. Reading will be from 9:00 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. Students entering first grade must have a parent present with them. Accelerated Reading points earned during Summer Reading will count toward the 2017-2018 school year.
Any student that earns10 AR points during the summer will be rewarded with a free painting party with Mrs. Riley from the Baroquen Canvas. The date for the painting party will be held on July 11 at 9:30 A.M. This activity is sponsored by the Johnson Elementary Family Resource Center.

You are invited to attend our Family Reading Night and Meet The EAGLE cheerleaders and ball teams on Thursday, October 5th. Family Reading will be from 3:45 P.M. - 5:45 P.M. and the introduction of the EAGLES will begin at 6:00 P.M. Our PTO will be having a concession stand. Come out and show your support for the EAGLES.
There will not be any school on Monday, February 19th in honor of Presidents' Day.
The Johnson Elementary PTO will be having a fundraiser at Buffalo Wings and Rings on Monday, December 4, 2017. On this date, a percentage of all food orders will go to help support the students at Johnson Elementary. Please show your support for our school and eat with us at Buffalo Wings and Rings on December 4th from 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
You are invited to stop by and shop at our Book Fair on Monday, February 26th through Thursday, March 1st. You can shop with your child every morning from 7:40 A.M. - 8:15 A.M. as well as during Breakfast With Parents and Grandparents. We will also be having a Family Event on Friday, February 23rd at 3:40 P.M. If you attend the Family Event, your child will have his/her name entered in a drawing for $100 worth of free books and other prizes.
