Keavy Elementary would like to thank our sponsors Greene McCowan CPA and Cumberland Valley National Bank for their donations.  Our students have been reading to earn points to reach the 100 point club.  Once they earn the points, students will receive a superhero reading t-shirt.  Thank you to our students for reading and thank you to our sponsors Greene McCowan CPA and Cumberland Valley National Bank for sponsoring the t-shirts and supporting our students at Keavy Elementary.

Vote For Books AR challenge

During the month of November each classroom competed in an AR competition.  Students dropped a vote in a bag each time they passed an AR test.  The class with the most votes won a polar express party!  We also had a 2nd winner which was the class with the most AR points during the month of November.  Congratuations to Ms. Sizemore's 5th grade class for having the most points and Congratulations to Mrs. Singleton's 1st grade class for having the most votes.

AR Grade Level Challenge....Battle of the Books!

The class in each grade level who had the most points in the month of September won an in-school sock hop and pop and popcorn party. Classes also had to maintain an 85% grade point average. Congratulations to the following classes who won this challenge:

Got Slime???....Keavy Does

Keavy students met their goal of spirit card sales and as a result they were able to slime some of our faculty.  Thank you to all students and staff who sold spirit cards and made this day possible.  All proceeds from the spirit card sales will go toward our school.  Thank you PTO for making all of this possible and for all your hard work as well.

Accelerated Reader Challenge

We are having a grade level AR challenge which means each grade level will compete to see who gets the most points.  The challenge will end on September 28th.  The class in each grade level with the most points and at least an 85% average will get an in-school sock hop on September 29th.  Good luck to every class.  Please visit the library and take AR tests as often as possible.

Great Turn out At Keavy's Summer Reading

The summer reading program has been a great success this summer.  We have had a great turn out and a lot of parental involvement.  The last day for summer reading is Thursday, June 15.
