Thursday, September 20th, has been designated state-wide as “High Attendance Day” for Kentucky schools. This day highlights the importance of regular school attendance and the correlation between attendance and student performance. Students who attend class regularly are more likely to keep up with their daily lessons, assignments, and academic achievement.
Awards will be distributed statewide based on each individual school’s attendance percentage. The school in each category (elementary, middle and high) with highest percentage attendance for that day will be awarded $500!
Let’s strive for 100% attendance on Thursday, September 20th and everyday!
London student Maggie Young recently celebrated her 9th birthday. Instead of gifts, Maggie asked for donations for our FRC. Pictured are Maggie and our FRC director, Hillary Morris, all smiles with the donations. We are so very proud of Maggie and her big Tiger Heart!

London Elementary is so proud of third grader, Annabelle Welch. She recently received 1st prize at the Cumberland Gallery Youth Show for her sculpture of Junie B. Jones. She formed an armature out of newspaper and covered it with masking tape. She then painted it.
Great job Annabelle!
ATTENTION LONDON PARENTS AND STUDENTS:
We were hoping to implement clear backpacks for the new school year but have received word that parents are having a difficult time locating them. Due to limited supplies of clear backpacks in local stores, clear backpacks will not be a requirement for the upcoming school year. Thank you
