Everyone is invited to attend the Sublimity Art Show on Thursday, May 4th from 4:00-6:00.
The Laurel County Preschool and Kentucky River Foothills Head Start will be holding a preschool/head start screening for Sublimity, by appointment only, on Friday, April 21st, at the G.C. Garland Administration Building, located directly behind London Elementary, from 8:30a.m.-2:00p.m. Please call Michele Prichard at 606-862-4608 to shcedule your child's appointment.
The child must be 4 years old on or before August 1, 2017 and meet the income requirements to be eligible to attend. A 3 or 4 year old child with a disability may be eligible to attend regardless of income.

Non-Request forms for the 2017-2018 school year will be available in the school office until May 12th.
Order your 2016-2017 yearbook today! Each book will be 48 pages, full color, and will highlight the events of this school year. Print your order form and return to school by the end of February.
Sublimity students are currently selling Spirit Cards for $10 each. All student packets along with money are due August 31st!

Sublimity staff will be hosting the 2nd Annual Breakfast with Santa on December 9th from 9:00am-11:00am at the Elementary School. Breakfast with be $5.00 a person. Pictures with Santa will be 5:00 for each 5x7 (payable at the breakfast). Please return the form sent home with your child by Tuesday, December 5th along with the payment.

Mr. Cox has agreed to go through a human car wash given by all of the students and teachers since students sold over 750 car wash certificates!
Teachers and Students will celebrate international dot day along with children all over the world. The day was inspired by Peter H. Reynolds book, The Dot. The message of the book is, "just make a mark and see where it takes you". Reminding us to never give up and believing everything is possible. Students will wear Dots on Dot Day!
Our school will be collecting non-perishable food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive to benefit families in our community. A pizza party will be awarded to the primary and intermediate class that donates the most items for the food drive.
Items we are collecting: instant potatoes, macaroni and cheese, corn, green beans, peas, cake mix and Frosting, cranberry sauce, yams, canned fruit, and stuffing.
Get into the holiday spirit during Christmas Spirit Week.

-Wednesday- Wear Green and Red for the Sing-a-long!

We would like to Congratuate the boys basketball team on making it to the Final 4 in the 2017 Laurel County Elementary Boys Basketball Tournament. They finished the season at 10-2! We are proud of each and every one of you! Go EAGLES!!!

Get into the Christmas Spirit this season at the Sublimity Sign-a-Long. This special event will be held on Wednesday, December 13th at 9:00am. Parents who plan on attended will enter the building by the gymnasium, not the front door.
Join us this Tuesday night, August 15th, for our very first PTO meeting at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. We will be discussing Spirit Card sales, Carnival and give you a brief overview of the upcoming year. Our PTO is successful with you involved!! We look forward to seeing you!

The Sublimity and Wyan-Pine Grove FRC Advisory Council Meeting will be held on November 28th, 2017 at 2:30. The meeting will be held at Wyan Pine Grove.
The PTO Christmas Store will be open on December 13th - December 15th. More information to come.
Congratulations to Khloe Jarrett and Brodie Gill for winning the 2017-2018 Sublimity Elementary School Spelling Bee. We will be cheering on 4th grader Khloe and 5th grader Brodie as they prepare to compete against other Laurel County students at the District Spelling Bee held later this month. You make us all very proud! Good Luck and Congratulations.
Welcome Back Sublimity Eagles! We are excited to see each and every one of you at Open House. 1st-5th Grade students will attend open house on August 7th at 5:30. Kindergarten students will attend open house on August 8th at 5:30. Sublimity PTO will be having hotdogs, chips and drinks for everyone that comes! They will also be selling tshirts for $10!
Open House for Preschool will be on Monday, August 14th from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
The first day of school for students will be Thursday, August 10th!
The Carnival will be held on Saturday, October 14th from 6-8pm. There will be a Silent Auction during the Carnival followed by our Live Auction at 8pm! We are accepting donations of Silent Auction items at the school office. We look forward to seeing you!!!
Come visit the Sublimity Library for a Spooktacular evening of family fun! All preschool-5th grade families are welcome. Students will be able to take AR tests during the night while having the opportunity to participate in different activities and crafts! The library will be open from 4:00-6:00 on October 23rd. Wear your halloween costume and get ready to READ!
Students will also have the opportunity to vote on their favorite book character pumpkin. The class pumpkin that gets the most votes during Family Reading Night will receive a Caramel Apple Party from Mrs. Schu!
Sublimity staff and students would like to welcome our Veterans on Friday, November 10th, 2017. We will be having a welcome breakfast in the library beginning at 8:30am and the program in the gym will begin at 9:00.

On October 3rd at 6:00pm come out to Sublimity Elementary and meet the 2017-2018 Boys and Girls Basketball Team as well as the Cheerleading Squad! The Spirit Card Fundraiser was a great success! The final totas was 1,305 cards sold! Thank you to all the students and parents for working so hard! Looks like students will be smiling Mr. Cox, Mr. Smith and Mr. A!
November 28th will be our MAKE UP PICTURE DAY and BASKETBALL AND CHEERLEADING SPORT PICTURES!
The Library Media Center will be hosting the Scholastic Wild West book fair September 11th-15th. Students will shop during their library class between 9:30-1:30pm.
Tuesday, September 12th, we will have a Family Night where you can shop with your child from 4:00-6:00pm. Additional information will be coming home with your child soon.
