STUDENTS DEVELOP ESSAYS ON HEALTHCARE DELIVERY

Students in the Allied Health Science (AHS) program at the Center for Innovation (CFI) recently developed essays on the importance of transference and compassion in the delivery of 21st century healthcare.  Mrs. Shannon Sizemore, instructor of English/ Language Arts, spoke about the need for critical analysis and writing healthcare reports in the career pathway such as patient intake communications that utilize active listening skills and transcribing accurate information into electronic medical record (EMR) systems.  Mrs. Deana Nantz, instructor of English language arts, remarked about the integration of academic skills in writing, reflection, and critical analysis as it relates to the career path as essential skills to be an effective healthcare provider.  Mr. Ed Bowling, instructor of health science, applauded the student efforts in developing their academic and technical skills in preparing for college and career.
