UK METIman Visits Center for Innovation

Students in the Allied Health Science (AHS) program at the Center for Innovation (CFI) recently enjoyed an enriched learning experience in collaboration with the University of Kentucky’s Area Health Education Center (AHEC).  The students were able to learn about patient care and advanced diagnostics with the METIman, a pre-hospital simulator mannequin, that can respond to computer commands to display specific behaviors associated with medical conditions.  "Students utilized computers to analyze patient data and physiological condition in order to practice medical diagnostics," said Mr. Ed Bowling, instructor of Allied Health at the CFI.

"We are very pleased to have established a great partnership with UK that provides additional learning experiences for our students," remarked Dr. James M. Davis, CFI Principal.
