CFI Students Preparing for Advanced Manufacturing Careers

 

Industrial Maintenance Technology (IMT) students Dillan Gambrel, Chase Bowling, Chris Foley, and Chris Allen at the Laurel County Schools Center for Innovation (CFI) in the welding lab preparing to utilize the Lincoln PowerMIG welders to fabricate metal products.   Students in the IMT program are learning skills that are in high demand within the advanced manufacturing sector. Students in the IMT program can earn national certification as an Electrical Technician with the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) as well as earn up to 22 college credits to be awarded toward the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree requirements at Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College.
