Thursday, September 20th, has been designated state-wide as “High Attendance Day” for Kentucky schools. This day highlights the importance of regular school attendance and the correlation between attendance and student performance. Students who attend class regularly are more likely to keep up with their daily lessons, assignments, and academic achievement.
Awards will be distributed statewide based on each individual school’s attendance percentage. The school in each category (elementary, middle and high) with highest percentage attendance for that day will be awarded $500!

Since then, all parties involved have been identified and law enforcement has taken action. While there is no evidence to support a viable threat, we continue to take every possible action to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff.
We appreciate the quick and efficient response of the London City Police Department, School Resource Officers and School Administration. Any and all threats are taken very serious with student safety always being a top priority. We encourage parents and guardians to talk with their child about the importance of reporting any threat, whether made verbally, physically or through the use of social media to a school official or local law enforcement.
