We will have Cold Hill's very own Melanie Callahan to do an author reading and signing of her new book The Penny Loafer Mystery: A Kittie O'Blakely Story.
Parents and students will be able to read and take Accelerated Reader tests, as well as, complete mystery theme activities for prize drawings!

Students are asked to dress in the following way so we can create a special effect during our program.
Pre-K & Kindergarten: Wear a RED shirt
1st Grade: Wear a WHITE shirt
2nd & 3rd Grade: Wear a BLUE Shirt
4th & 5th Grade: Wear a CAMOUFLAGE Shirt

Cold Hill Elementary will hold Kindergarten Orientation on Thursday, August 3rd beginning at 5:00 in the Gym.
Tryouts are scheduled to start on Monday, Sept. 11th. Tryouts will be 5 days and the team will be announced on at the end of the 5 days. All tryouts and practices are closed to the public. Below is the tentative schedule for tryouts. I hope not to make any changes to the dates or times. Please be on time.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 26th from 3:30-5:30. You may sign up for an appointment with your child's teacher.
Open House for grades 1st – 5th will be on Tuesday, August 8th from 4:00-6:00.
Cheerleading tryouts for 4th and 5th grade will take place Monday-Friday, September 11-15, 2017 from 3:30-4:30.
Tryouts will be closed to parents.
Students must have a current sports physical.

Admission will be school supplies chosen based on the needs of each grade level.
Our Spring Book Fair will be held in the library March 20th-24th.
Students will visit the Book Fair during scheduled library class and checkout times.
Book Fair will be open late for Family Night on Tuesday, March 21st from 4:00-6:00.

Red Ribbon Week will be October 23rd-27th. This week is to promote being drug free. Each day students will be asked to dress a certain way to show their support for staying drug free.
*Monday --- Pajama Day --- Follow your dreams...don't do Drugs. Dress in your favorite pajamas.
*Tuesday --- Nerd Day --- Cubs are too smart for Drugs. Dress like a nerd.
*Wednesday --- Super Hero Day --- You have the Power to stay drug free. Dress like a super hero.
*Thursday --- 80's Day--- Be 80's cool and say no to drugs. Dress in your best 80's look.
*Friday --- Costume Day--- Scare off Drugs. Dress in your Halloween costume. No face masks or heavy make-up that will distract form learning.
Come out and meet the new members of the boys and girls basketball teams, as well as, the cheerleading squad. Show your Cold Hill Cub pride! Tuesday, October 3th @ 6:00 in the gym. Admission: $3.00 for adults and free to kids and staff.

Congratulations Cold Hill Archers! Cold Hill’s Archery Team won 3rd Place at the NASP 11th Region Tournament.
Individual awards went to Aaron Kilburn 3rd Place Boy Elementary, Kelsey Brock 4th Place Girl Elementarym and Addison Gilmore 1st place 4th Grade Girl.
