CFI Students Provide Public Health Presentations

Students in the Allied Health Science (AHS) program at the Laurel County Schools Center for Innovation (CFI) prepared and delivered presentations on various public health issues that face the community as part of The Future of Public Health in Kentucky statewide competition.  The students completed research on their topics, developed their resources, and presented their ideas to a panel of Cumberland Valley Health Department officials who scored their performances for regional honors.  Mrs. Kate Ray, English instructor, remarked about the important role of student writing in preparing for the workforce and college.  “We are especially proud of the students who took on the extra work of researching their topic and preparing to compete in the public health project”, said Dr. James M. Davis, CFI Principal.
