Students are introduced to relationships within the Earth’s systems through observation, data analysis, direct factual input, and investigation. Students will be challenged to model and interpret data as enhancement to acquiring applicable knowledge of Earth systems. In addition, students will learn and practice test taking strategies to enable them to achieve higher scores upon thier ACT exam.
SPECIFIC COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1. Students will demonstrate knowledge of Earth Science concepts as specified within Next Generation Science Standards [NGSS].
2. Students will receive instruction via practices set forth by Kentucky’s Department of Education and the Next Gerenation Science Standards [NGSS].
3. Students will be assessed utilizing a variety of assessment techniques including but not limited to open response questions, kinesthetic devices, modeling, and cross science discipline applications, and the Through Course Task Assessments.
