The AP Environmental Science course is designed to be the equivalent of a one-semester, introductory college course in environmental science. The goal of this inter disciplinary course is to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies required to understand the interrelationships of the natural world. The course will focus on the identification and analysis of environmental issues of the past, present, future, and proposed future solutions. The course will require students to develop their critical thinking skills as demonstrated through a variety of methods including but not limited to lecture, activities (guided and open), labs, field trips, formative and summative assessments, and alternate forms of assessment such as presentations.
Hi all! The kinks have been worked out in the software. So--if you choose to upload the registration assignment from this website you will find it has the numbers written in standard form making them much easier to read. In the back you will see the grading rubric. Its pretty straight forward. Just a reminder, this assignment is due the first day of school, August 10th-no exceptions. Failure to produce the completed assignment the first day will be grounds for your removal from this class the next day. Sorry-this is a college level course. Hope all are having a great summer. I'm looking forward to seeing you!
Be sure to stop by and get your APES summer registration assignment. Thanks!
