Class Overview:
During this class we will explore various reading and writing techniques and activities.  This will include a variety of informational and literary reading pieces.  With these reading pieces, students will learn a variety of comprehension strategies, as well as, learning to analyze a text.  Students will also be completing writing prompts.  These will include, but are not limited to, argumentative pieces, informational pieces, narratives, extended responses, short answers, and quick responses.  Finally, the students will learn proper grammar usage and mechanics. 


Students will participate in a variety of assessments, including but not limited to; classroom assessments, common assessments, DEA, and KPREP. 


Homework will be assigned as needed for reinforcement of content.

All students are expected to get their assignments when they are absent. 

Extra Help:
