DEA Test Scores

DEA Test Scores

Dear Parents,

Attached you will find your child’s DEA scores from Fall 2016, Winter 2016, and Spring 2017.  Our school goal is for every student to be working at the level of “Proficient or Distinguished”.  At the top of the report you will find “highlighted” areas. This shows the levels that your child performed at in the Fall and Winter and is currently performing in the Spring.

The areas that are “highlighted” under “Performance by Skill” are areas that your child can work to improve upon.  These are skills that I encourage each student to work on for the remainder of the school year and during the Summer months, prior to 4th Grade.  Each student can access my website for additional ELA/Reading & Math practice.

To increase students DEA Reading & Mathematics Scores you can simply go to the search engine “Google” and type in the “Core Content” number that they need extra practice on. (Ex, 3.RL.3.).  By doing so, a lot of websites with extra practice in “Reading Literature” will come up.  (There are also YouTube videos, instructional guides, etc. for the students to use.) I have also added a tab on my website “DEA/Common Core ELA/Reading Practice” & “DEA/Common Core Mathematics Practice” that will provide Reading & Math practice.

I would recommend that the students do this practice at least three times a week.  (*Be sure they are practicing in each area, and don’t always do the same one.)

By doing this I feel that it will give each student more practice on skills we are learning in class, and in turn increase their knowledge base!

Thank You for All That You Do to Further Your Child’s Education!

Mrs. Baker
