Genre: Expository Text: is written to inform or explain.  It contains facts about real people, things or events.

Lesson: Author’s Purpose (Why did an author write this story, what did they want us to learn?)

 

Vocabulary Words:

Insects: six-legged bug.

Cocoon: a case that protects an insect while it changes to an adult.

Tunnels: an underground passageway.

Enemies: a person or thing that wants to hurt another.

Invade: to enter without an invitation.

 

Grammar: Complete and Incomplete sentences; fragments and run-on.

 

Phonics: Long E spelling/sound; ee, ea, e, e_e

 

Homework:

No Homework Just study spelling/reading

 

Parents: please remind students they need to have their AR books read and tested on by Friday.
