Individual Learning Plan (ILP)

All students (grades 6-12) are required (by state law) to complete the ILP each year.  Each year, parents are also required to review their child's ILP (state law).  In order to comply with this law, seventh grade students will complete the ILP during their time in Career class.

The completed ILP will be graded (counts as one class assignment) and sent home for parents to review.  Parents are then requested to sign the ILP and return it to school as documentation that the parent has reviewed the ILP.

Students in seventh grade will be required to complete the following sections in the ILP:

  • Personal Profile
  • Educational History
  • Career Matchmaker
  • Careers that Interest Me
  • Career Cluster Interests
  • Schools that Interest Me
  • Organizations and Activities
  • Hobbies and Interests
  • Awards and Recognitions
  • Annual Review
  • Annual Student Survey
All parents have a "Parent Access" number.  This allows parents to view their child's ILP at any time.  Parents may obtain their access information by contacting Mrs. Kirby.  Requesting the parent access information will give parents an opportunity to help their child proofread and correct typographical and spelling errors before the final copy of the ILP is printed in class.
