2017-2018 is going to be a great school year! I am so excited to be joining the faculty at CFI this year, my 17th year of teaching. I have taught in Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida, and Kentucky. I bring experience from grades 7-12 as well as postsecondary teaching. I am also endorsed in online teaching and learning and have 5 years experience in the virtual classroom.
My schedule this year keeps me busy with 3 preps: English II, English III, and English IV. I love the variety that comes with each year of literature and I am especially looking forward to seeing each of my students become successful in the English classroom.
I have included all of my course syllabi in the Files section of each class. For English II and III, there is a list of works that we will be reading throughout the year. English IV has more flexibility in the works covered, but I do have a few mentioned as well as the broad topics of study.
Our textbook is online! Instead of issuing a cumbersome literature book to each student, I have provided everyone with their personal username and password. The textbook can be accessed at this website: www.pearsonrealize.com. The textbook can even be downloaded on a device if needed. This will make homework completion a breeze. (If Internet is unavailable in the home, I do have traditional textbooks that students may check out as needed.)
I am always happy to answer questions. The best way to reach me is through email: firstname.lastname@example.org
