Hello. I'm new this year to CFI and will be teaching math in the Media Arts Community. I love teaching math. After already having a Rank 1, I decided to get a Master's with an emphasis in math, completed in 2008, to allow myself more opporunity to teach math for dual enrollment classes in HS as well as adjunct work at some of the local colleges. Since 2009, I have taught some math courses for EKU in Corbin and for the nursing students at the Lincoln Memorial University branch in Corbin.
I did my student teaching at North Laurel Junior High School (as it was named then) in Spring of 1991 with Tami Herrell in Science. I worked with Laurel Co. Schools for four years, three of which was in Dropout Prevention in 1991-1992 at Laurel Co.High School and the next two years split between North and South Laurel High Schools.
My full time service began in 1995 with now many years of experience at Pineville Independent, Whitley County Schools, and Corbin Independent. After just finishing my 22nd year as a full time teacher and 26th overall, I'm honored to be teaching at the Center for Innovation and look forward to a wonderful 2016-2017 school year teaching Algebra 2 and Geometry.
