National Board Certified
Language Arts Teacher
Laurel County Center For Innovation
Currently in my 1st year here at the CFI, 25.73rd in the Laurel County system, I teach AP English Literature, English IV, Pre-AP English II, and English III. I possess National Board certification, and I am a proud Laurel County graduate, followed by attending Berea College for my undergraduate work and then EKU for my Masters.
I have two children, whom I occasionally claim, one a recent University of the Cumberlands graduate and one currently at SCC. I am consistently married to my 1st wife and reside in Keavy, with her, a horse, a cat, a dog, and a smaller backup dog.
I hope this a productive and enjoyable year for my students, and that they reach these goals:
1. Become a more fluid and analytical reader.
2. Become a more expressive and effective writer.
3. Become a more fluent and confident speaker.
Here's to a great 2015-2016 school year!
