I have taught high school science since 2001. I wanted to be a teacher since I was a very young girl. I graduated from South Laurel High School in 1997. I attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2001. I taught science at South Laurel High School for nine years and I have had the privilege to teach here at McDaniel Learning Center for the past seven years. I have a Master’s degree and Rank I in school administration. I met the loves of my life (my stepsons – Ethan and Nathan) and my sweet husband (David) while teaching at SLHS. We have been married since February 12, 2004. We are currently celebrating our newest edition to our family - Lucas McKinley Cummins, who arrived December 22, 2015. He has certainly made life more interesting in the Cummins home! I LOVE my family and I consider them my greatest accomplishment in life. I have a passion for serving people and for leading worship. I enjoy nature, being outdoors, singing, and spending time with my family.
