Hello! My name is Sarah Vanderhoof, or Ms. V as my students call me, and I am the Alternate Curriculum teacher at Bush Elementary School.  I am so excited to be working with your child in my classroom this school year! We are going to have an amazing school year!  I am entering into my fourth year of teaching with the Laurel County School System.  I am unable to think of a profession that I could have chosen that could be more rewarding.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my dog, Bailey Rae.  I love to be at the lake, outside in the woods, or to spend time with my family. I also enjoy traveling and attending country concerts.

I am orginally from London Kentucky and have had a love for students with special needs my whole life. I started my experience in special education as a peer tutor in the 5th grade and followed through until my senior year of high school. I recieved my bachelors degree in Elementary Education & Special Education - Moderate and Severe Disabilities from Morehead State University in May 2012. I will complete my Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership from Union College this December.
