Janae Bryant, health science student at the Laurel County Schools Center for Innovation (CFI), has earned national certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through the National Health Career Association (NHA). Janae has been awarded the University of Kentucky Provost Scholarship and the Horace Ford Scholarship. Dr. James M. Davis, CFI Principal, exclaimed “we have tremendous pride in the quality academic and technical training being provided for our students and their being able to achieve their goals of college and career readiness.”
“Students at the CFI can work toward various industry recognized credentials such Medicaid Nurse Aide (MNA), Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA), and Patient Care Technician (PCT),” said Mrs. Tammy Jones, MNA Program Coordinator. “Our students are provided diverse healthcare training experiences in the program such as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), EKG Technician (ECG), and Pharmacy Technician (CPhT),” added Mr. Ed Bowling, EMS Program Coordinator.
