  • Google Classroom codes can be requested via Student Webmail.
  • Students will be expected to check their Google Classroom daily for messages, assignments, etc.
  • Students will receive an invitation code each day in Google Classroom to join their class's life session via Google Meet. This will be an unique code each period every day.
  • The live stream will include teacher instruction/lecture and class discussion; In-person students will not be visible to HCI students, and, likewise, HCI students who participate live stream will not be visible to students in the classroom. HCI students' Microphones should be muted to eliminate background noise. Students can unmute their microphone to ask a question or can type questions in the chat box.
  • A video of each day's live stream will be archived and available for student view at 3:30 p.m. in Google Classroom.
  • HCI students will have a window of opportunity to ask questions during the live stream. Students not viewing the live session can ask questions via email, Google Classroom, or Remind.
  • All assignments in Google Classroom will have a set due date and HCI students will be expected to complete those assignments by that date. As with in-person instruction, if an issue arises that prohibits a student from completing an assignment on time, the student should notify me via student webmail prior to the due date to request an extension. Students may reference the Course Syllabus on Google Classroom for grading policy.
  • Attendance will be counted by participation each day. If for some reason your child is unable to attend the Live online instruction, the recorded video should be accessed and the day's lesson completed.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in the live instruction for maximum engagement: ask questions, discuss, share ideas with peers, and receive feedback from instructor.
  • Students will receive feedback through live discussion via Google Meet, via email, and in comments communicated with grades once assignments are submitted. Grades will also be posted in IC.
  • Daily Expectations:
    • Log in to Google Classroom
    • Use the Google Meet link to attend the virtual session or watched the archived video on the original recording date.
    • Complete any activity or lesson for that day.
  • Students must log in to Google Classroom via their student webmail.
