NLHS Seniors Selected as National Merit Finalist

The National Merit Scholarship Program has selected North Laurel High School seniors Nathan Sanders and Will White as finalists in the annual National Merit Scholarship Program, an honor less than one percent of the country's high school seniors achieve!

More than 1.5 million juniors entered the scholarship program by taking the PSAT in 2019.  Nathan and Will were selected as Semifinalists in fall 2020.  To become a Finalist, a Semifinalist must have an outstanding academic record, be endorsed and recommended by their high school principal, and earn SAT scores that confirm the student's earlier performance on the qualifying test.  Merit Scholars are selected based on their skills, accomplishments, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. The 2021 National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced this spring.

Congratulations to Nathan and Will on this accomplishment!  Nathan is the son of Todd and Dawn Sanders.  Will is currently attending the Craft Academy on the campus of Morehead State University.  He is the son of Joe and Beth White.
