It is my privilege to serve as Principal of the McDaniel Learning Center, where our mission is to provide a high-quality, student-centered educational experience that meets the unique academic and social-emotional needs of every learner.

McDaniel Learning Center serves as Laurel County’s alternative education program, designed to offer students individualized pathways toward success. We focus on creating a structured, supportive environment that emphasizes personal responsibility, academic achievement, and future readiness. Through innovative instructional practices, social-emotional learning opportunities, and credit recovery programs, we help students build the skills and confidence necessary to succeed beyond the classroom.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to fostering a culture of respect, resilience, and growth. We believe that every student can succeed when provided with the right support and opportunities, and we take pride in helping students realize their potential and achieve their goals.

To determine eligibility for attending MLC, students must first consult their school counselor at their respective high school (North Laurel High or South Laurel High).
