8th Grade Social Studies Syllabus

 

Course Description:  This year, students in 8th grade social studies will explore early American history.  We will begin with the factors that led Europeans and Africans to settle in North America around the year 1500 and end with the Reconstruction Era, the period after the Civil War.  While the main focus is on historical perspective, students will continue geography skills practice, economics, culture, and government. 

 

Materials Needed:  See team letter.
