Two exceptional Laurel County Public Schools teachers received the Teacher of the Year Award at the annual London-Laurel Chamber Banquet. The Teacher of the Year Award, sponsored by Laurel County Farm Bureau, recognizes teachers who have done an outstanding job in the classroom, as determined by student nominations. This year, the London-Laurel Chamber Education Committee received over 1,000 nominations!

South Laurel Middle School teacher Jacob Moore was chosen as the Middle School Teacher of the Year, while John Hunt from South Laurel High School was named High School Teacher of the Year. Also, Jaime VanHook, who teaches at East Bernstadt Elementary, was selected as the Elementary Teacher of the Year.

The award recipients received a beautiful plaque and a cash prize to celebrate their accomplishments.

Congratulations to all of the winners!
