South Middle School students in Mrs. Turner’s Emergency Services Club created EDITH charts.
EDITH stands for Exit Drills in the Home. Students drew pictures of the layout of their homes, including a plan of escape in case of a fire or an emergency and an emergency meeting location for their families.
Students in the club have already enjoyed a visit from the School Resource Officer this year to discuss careers in law enforcement.
In February, personnel from the fire service will visit to discuss those jobs, and in March, Emergency Services Club members will receive training in CPR.
