SLHS Has Significant Gains in 2025-26 Impact Kentucky Working Conditions Survey

Results Show Increased Educator Satisfaction Across Multiple Key Performance Indicators

London, KY – March 18, 2026 – South Laurel High School is proud to announce the results of the 2025-26 Impact Kentucky Working Conditions Survey, which show significant improvements in critical areas that define school culture and support for both students and staff.

The biannual survey, which gathers vital feedback from teachers and staff, revealed exceptional gains in educator perception, demonstrating the success of the school’s ongoing improvement initiatives.

Key Highlights from the 2025-26 Survey:

  • Exceptional Climate for Learning: The school saw its single largest improvement in the "Educating All Students" category, which saw a monumental 23-point increase and a 19-point rise in "Emotional Well-Being and Belonging" compared to the 2023-24 survey. This achievement underscores the staff's dedication to inclusive and effective learning strategies for all student populations.

  • Strong, Collaborative Leadership: "Staff-Leadership Relationships, Feedback & Coaching, and Professional Learning" continues to be a core strength, each receiving favorable ratings, placing the school within the 80th-99th percentile when compared to other schools nationally.

  • Improved School Environment: The report showed widespread gains, including a notable 20-point increase in "School Climate" and a 17-point rise in "Managing Student Behavior" compared to the previous cycle.

“These numbers indicate that our strategic investments in professional development and our focused efforts to strengthen professional relationships are having a tangible, positive impact,” added Dr. Kidd.
