Laurel County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Doug Bennett has announced his retirement after 31 years in education. Dr. Bennett has led Laurel County Public Schools for the last 11 years. His last day will be July 31, 2023.

Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary students have enjoyed a summer of fun STEM projects. Thanks to a partnership with Lowes, WPG students received an apron, safety goggles, and a mini hammer to complete their STEM projects.

Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary Library Media Center is getting into the Fall spirit by having a pumpkin and/or gourd decorating contest of your favorite book character! Entries may be dropped off to Mrs. Napier in the library on Monday, October, 24th.

Wyan-Pine Grove Elementary commemorated Patriot Day by hosting several special guests. Local first responders read to students who had dressed in their red, white, and blue.
