Our 100 Point Club had an amazing time on our recent reward trip to Bernheim Forest and Arboretum. Our guide, Mr. Dan, took us on our hike. He also told us the facts and fairytales related to the park and the Forest Giants. We ended our trip with playtime on the park's massive nature playground. #johnsonsoars #johnsoneagles #sokidscandogreatthings

This Senior Sunday, we honor our former Johnson Eagles, who recently returned from NLHS to "the nest" for their Senior Walk. They enjoyed greeting and inspiring our young students (and their former teachers!), ate a delicious lunch from The Palace, and even got the opportunity for one last recess. Seniors, we are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and wish you the best as you take your next steps into adulthood. Dream big, Eagles, and work hard to make those dreams come true! Once an Eagle, always an Eagle!🦅 #johnsonsoars #johnsoneagles #sokidscandogreatthings #seniorsunday #seniorwalk2025

On Saturday, May 3rd, the Johnson Elementary Eagle Choir participated in the 2025 Music in the Parks Choral Competition in Tennessee. The choir has been hard at work all semester preparing pieces for adjudication. It is our pleasure to announce that the choir earned a Superior rating, which is the highest designation that a group could earn at this festival. Congratulations, Eagle Choir, on this fantastic accomplishment, and Mrs. Hodge as well for a great first year directing our Johnson students! #johnsonsoars #johnsoneagles #sokidscandogreatthings

Fifth grade students have been eagerly anticipating Market Day, and it has finally arrived! For weeks, they have been earning "Ro(ark) Bucks" for good grades and positive behavior. They developed their own goods, services, and shops, and then sold their wares to their classmates. We are so proud of these hardworking Eagles! #johnsonsoars #johnsoneagles #sokidscandogreatthings

Wow! What a wonderful Read Across America week we had a Johnson Elementary! We were visited by so many fantastic people and read so many fun books. There were lawyers, librarians, a youth minister, police officers, judges, a hair stylist, a forest ranger, high school students, paramedics (ambulance AND flight), the sheriff, firefighters, the Chamber of Commerce CEO, Zola the Rescue Squad search dog, and more! Laurel County is truly an amazing community that embraces and supports our kids, and we are so thankful for that.
