Johnson Elementary School recently welcomed WKYT Meteorologist Jason Lindsey “Mr. Science,” to their Summer School program Students participated in several interactive science experiments and got time to talk with Mr. Science and ask STEM-related questions.

Laurel County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Doug Bennett has announced his retirement after 31 years in education. Dr. Bennett has led Laurel County Public Schools for the last 11 years. His last day will be July 31, 2023. A full press release will be coming soon.
